LupoGait – Precise data acquisition in just a few steps

LupoGait captures movement data using a specially developed sensor vest into which six wireless IMU sensors are integrated. These are positioned at strategic points on the dog’s back and limbs to enable a detailed analysis of 34 biomechanical parameters. As the dog moves over a defined distance of 20 meters, the system transmits the data in real time to the LupoGait software, which makes subtle gait deviations visible. In this way, LupoGait enables an objective, precise assessment of orthopaedic and neurological gait changes. The LupoGait gait analysis for dogs supports veterinarians in identifying movement irregularities early, allowing for tailored treatment plans and improving canine quality of life.

Successful treatment of complex lameness with LupoGait

A 3.5-year-old Cane Corso suffered from persistent lameness of the left forelimb after two cruciate ligament operations. Neither X-rays nor manual examinations provided any clarity. The LupoGait gait analysis revealed a severe restriction of movement in the shoulder. The targeted combination of orthopaedic and kinematic therapy led to a significant improvement in stability and reduced lameness.
