LupoGait®
gait analysis system
with 6 IMU sensors
Precise measurement technology as an innovation in gait analysis
LupoGait combines state-of-the-art IMU sensor technology with intelligent software to provide an exact image of a dog’s gait. In addition, the innovative 6-sensor technology enables precise, objective analysis. This makes LupoGait the first mobile, scientifically validated gait analysis system for dogs.
LupoGait gait analysis system: Scope of delivery
The LupoGait gait analysis system is supplied as a complete set that includes all the necessary components for precise gait analysis. The devices are also designed so that they can be seamlessly integrated into everyday practice:
- 6 wireless IMU* (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensors – Precise acquisition of movement data
- Tablet with LupoGait software – Intuitive data acquisition & analysis
- 4 jackets in different sizes – Optimal fit for all dogs
- Charging station & USB cable – Simultaneous charging of all 6 sensors
* An IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensor is a highly precise motion detection system that measures movement, orientation, and tilt in real-time. It works by combining three key components: an accelerometer to detect speed changes through acceleration and deceleration, a gyroscope to track rotation and angular movement, and a magnetometer to determine directional orientation, similar to a digital compass. Together, these sensors allow devices like smartphones, vehicles, and drones to accurately understand their position and movement in space, enabling precise navigation, stability, and control.
The hardware – high-precision sensor technology for reliable diagnostics
LupoGait uses 6 wireless motion sensors (IMUs) that are attached to the dog’s legs and body. These sensors record in real time:
- Angle of movement in the joints
- Stride lengths and frequencies
- Gait phases and load distributions
Thanks to the lightweight and flexible design, the dog’s natural freedom of movement remains unrestricted. The IMU sensors therefore guarantee precise recording of biomechanical data.

The software – intelligent analysis & visualization
The collected sensor data is analyzed and clearly displayed in the LupoGait software:
✔ Automatic detection of gait patterns & abnormalities
✔ Comparative measurements for progression analyses & therapy planning
✔ Color-coded display of the gear phases for quick interpretation
✔ Simple export functions for scientific studies & clinical reports
Perfect fit – the right jacket size for every dog
To ensure precise measurement, LupoGait offers 11 different sizes. This ensures that the sensors are optimally positioned without restricting the dog’s mobility.
